Schedule

DAY 1: Departing Salta towards the South, the tour crosses multiple little towns that live on tobacco production. As we enter the Quebrada de las Conchas, the Lerma Valley plant life starts to transform into the arid canyon that connects it with the Calchaquí Valley.
The tour stops in a strategic point before cycling between 50 and 70 kilometers while visiting some natural wonders such as the Devil’s Throat and The Amphitheatre.
After arriving in Cafayate and visiting the main attractions in town, the group will rest before meeting again for dinner and wine (not included in the price).
DAY 2: The second day starts with a winery tour before cycling up to Río Colorado, where a 3 hour hike awaits.

About the Hiking

This is a must do activity in the Cafayate area. The trekking reaches the famous Río Colorado waterfalls after a medium difficulty hike through a steep, rocky and wet terrain. Even when this is an activity for all ages, a minimum experience in hiking is expected.
The trekking starts at approximately 10:30am and is about 5km long. The highest altitude during the tour is 3820 meters above sea level.
After returning to the vehicle, the tour leaves towards Salta at around 3pm.
